    "A Lost Island Adventure"

    Theatre Summer Camp

     

    Oh no! Your kids have just shipwrecked along the shores of a small island. They have exactly one week to figure out a way off the island. Over the course of the week, your student will partake in island training by a few of the island locals. The locals will teach them how to build(set building), make outfits(costumes), and act like the island natives through various acting games. Along they way, they will also submerge in island games, an island tour(backstage tour), exciting dances, and several acting exercises. Upon arriving on the island, each student will become part of a “troupe” that will use their creativity and the concepts they are taught to help build an original scene that will be performed for their families and friends on their final day on the island!

    The island adventure theatre camp will take place

    Monday, June 12th through Friday, June 16th for students entering grades 2-8 in the fall. 

    Island activities will start at 9:00 A.M. and end at 2:00 P.M and will take place at Smith-Cotton High School.  

    Each day, island activities will halt for a lunch break giving the students time to eat a lunch that they brought from home.  

     

    The registration to board the ship cost only $50 (if paid by May 26th).  This price will include an exciting island adventure t-shirt as well as a week of learning from active theatre students. Late registration for this exciting event is $75 per student and must be received no later than June 2.
